Opened the hatch of the Crew Dragon, now at 11 on the Space Station - Space & Astronomy


The Crew Dragon ‘Endurance’ shuttle docked with the International Space Station. On board is the crew of Mission Crew 5 under the command of Nicole Mann, the first woman to command a SpaceX shuttle and the first Native American astronaut. Koichi Wakata from Japan and Josh Cassada from America.
About two hours later, the hatch of the Harmony module of the International Space Station (ISS) was opened, to which the Crew Dragon ‘Endurance’ shuttle is docked. The crew of the Crew 5 mission, with the Americans Nicole Mann and Josh Cassada, the Russian Anna Kikina and the Japanese Koichi Wakata, entered the ISS, welcomed by the four members of Crew 4, including Samantha Cristoforetti of the European Space Agency (Esa) and the three colleagues who arrived on 21 September in a Russian Soyuz shuttle. Now on board the Space Station there are 11 astronauts under the command of Cristoforetti, six of them Americans, three Russians, a Japanese and an Italian.
