There was a time when it seemed that Android would supplant Apple in the favor of its users. Pure utopia? Not really, since there are so many people in the world who prefer the Green Robot operating system.

In fact, there is more than someone who considers it more intuitive and less complicated than iOS, and therefore prefers to buy phones that are equipped with the Android Operating System (and are also less expensive than the iPhone).

Yet even the best occasionally makes mistakes, and this is what happened recently to Google that seems to have messed up with the update of the operating system of the Google Pixel to which Android 13 was installed.

Android Auto does not go with Android 13

So the bad news comes for owners of Google Pixel updated to Android 13. The latest version of the Google operating system, released last August, seems to be giving problems to those who have installed the update but are unable to use Android Auto.

At least this is what users report, even if statements that minimize everything come from the Mountain View giant: according to Google, the criticality is very limited, even only two full-blown cases for as many owners of a Google Pixel 5.

Although Google said it was calm about the incident, it also made it known that it had passed the reports to the team Android Auto so as to be able to identify a solution that can close the criticality.

Thank you for reporting this issue. We have forwarded your problem to the rest of the team and will keep you updated with the information available ”. This is what is written by the technical service team of Android Auto which, however, until now has not made known anything about any corrective patches of the problem

But someone managed to solve it at home: some Android Auto users in fact reported that the problem can be circumvented and overcome by restoring the car’s infotainment system. Other users have found other ways to solve the problem by suggesting to change the “Default USB configuration“, Setting”File Transfer / Android Auto“.

At the moment, however, Google has not yet made known anything in particular about the problem that many of the Android Auto users who have received Android 13 on their Google Pixel have encountered.

Meanwhile, another Google app has received an update: it is Discord, which will now allow its users to view messages within the app and will also be able to respond by simply tapping the message which will automatically send a read receipt notification.
